PlayCleanGo is an education and outreach program for outdoor recreationists that encourages outdoor recreation while protecting our valuable natural resources.  The objective is to slow or stop the spread of terrestrial invasive species (those that occur on land) through changes in our behaviour. PlayCleanGo is designed to foster actions and interrupt recreational pathways of spread for invasive species.

PlayCleanGo is a program originally developed by a group of interagency partners in Minnesota, including the University of Minnesota Extension, Minnesota Departments of Agriculture and Transportation, and Explore Minnesota, the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources.

PlayCleanGo is currently sponsored by the State of Minnesota and USDA Forest Service. There are over 212 PlayCleanGo partners across North America, including the Alberta Invasive Species Council (AISC).

Check out  www.PlayCleanGo.org for information on the positive change spreading across North America.

In Alberta, PlayCleanGo.org/abinvasives is sponsored by AISC, Alberta Conservation Association, and the Government of Alberta.

PlayCleanGo.org/abinvasives promotes awareness, understanding, and cooperation by providing a clear call to action for recreationists to be personally informed, attentive and accountable for stopping the spread of terrestrial and aquatic invasive species in Alberta.

For a complete overview of the PlayCleanGo AISC program and strategy, please read the AISC Training- Introduction module.
