S.W.I.M. Meetings

South West Invasive Managers (S.W.I.M.) is an annual regional meeting hosted by AISC.  

SWIM was started by Ag Fieldmen, GOA Land Managers and AISC to address invasive species issues within the region.   

The objectives are: 

Promote awareness of strategies and management aimed at preventing the establishment and spread of invasive species in south west Alberta.

Gain an understanding of the challenges faced by land managers in the area.

The second meeting will be held April 15th, 2016 in Pincher Creek and will focus on Early Detection and Rapid Response (EDRR).

The highly successful  first meeting was held April 23rd, 2015 in Pincher Creek and focused on prevention.
