JOIN the Alberta Invasive Species Council...

The Alberta Invasive Species Council (AISC) is a multi-stakeholder, non-profit society whose members have a common interest in the problem of invasive species.
AISC provides its members with the opportunity to access a shared pool of knowledge and experience on aspects of the biology, impacts, and management of invasive species in Alberta. Members have the opportunity to network with peers in industry, government, academia, and other experts in the field.

The Privileges of AISC Membership

INDIVIDUAL MEMBERS are entitled to:

  • Voting privileges at all membership meetings, including the AGM.
  • A special member’s discount rate to attend the Annual General Meeting and Conference held in April each year.
  • Receive periodic Member Updates to keep current with developments across the province.
  • Receive the quarterly e-newsletter, The Invader, and contribute articles.
  • Contribute expertise and knowledge to working committees that convene from time to time.

ORGANIZATIONAL MEMBERS are entitled to:

  • One transferable vote at all membership meetings, including the AGM. The organization will designate in advance the voting member who will carry their interests at membership meetings.
  • Individual memberships for up to three employees/members with one designated voting member. All receive the other membership benefits as outlined above.

Membership (including GST)

  • $31.50 for individuals
  • $11.50 for students while enrolled in a degree or diploma program, and for retired persons age 70+
  • $105.00 for organizations

All memberships expire on December 31 of each year.

It is easy to renew or purchase your membership:

1)      Visa or Mastercard online.

2)      Send an email to support@abinvasives.ca and request an invoice.

All payments to AISC through this website are in Canadian Funds and are subject to these terms and conditions.
Your contact name and address must match the credit card billing name and address.

Payments for Membership and Sponsorships are non-refundable. See our full refund policy.

For security, we do not keep electronic or paper copies of your credit card details any longer than required to complete a transaction. We do keep records of members and sponsors, including names and contact information. See our full privacy policy.

By completing the membership form below, you agree to support the objectives of the AISC to:

  • Foster awareness and understanding of invasive species issues.
  • Encourage action to help detect, prevent and manage invasive species.
  • Bridge mandates to encourage partnerships and dialogue between organizations and stakeholders which include: all levels of government, vegetation management professionals, industry, research/academia, NGOs, national and international invasive species councils/organizations, landowners and the general public.
  • Serve as a respected repository and source of credible information and resources on invasive species in Alberta.
  • Take a leadership role in coordinating, facilitating and enabling shared responsibility of invasive species management in Alberta.
